What has led me to share maiden to mother rite of passage work?

held is born from my own profound rite of passage journey from maiden to mother that has been unfolding over the last decade, which has changed my life, shaken up everything and ushered me into a new chapter where my heart, my power and my truth lead the way - and this personal journey of homecoming only continues to unfold. Yes, we go through so much evolution as we embody the lessons and blessings that come through this rite of passage but it also humbles us so much that we know we are always learning, shedding and growing. The difference now is that I feel so rooted in the eternal embrace of my inner mother that I know I can move through anything feeling held from within.

I do not guide this journey from above you - I walk alongside you as a fellow woman who has been through the fire of transformation and been born anew. This journey is not about becoming perfect - the very essence of this threshold is about unravelling from the ideals of perfectionism that this broken society has put upon us - and embracing our humanness instead. This is one of the many gifts of reclaiming the mother within. This journey is also not about shaming, judging or rejecting the maiden, it is the opposite of this - it is about connecting with your inner mother to hold the hand of your maiden and guide her forwards with safety and compassion - in all of her parts, her shades, her wounds, her light, her scars, her beauty, her innocence. It is a calling to remember our innate wholeness - especially in our messiness and our rawness. This is the homecoming we don’t realise we are seeking until we are there - alive, sovereign, rooted, wild, free.

I will tell my stories of becoming when we journey together. For now I just want to share a little more about the recent years which have led me to birth held as it feels important. 6 years ago at the end of 2019 I was completely burnt out as I was constantly in service to others in my healing practice in London, without knowing how or when to rest. I’ve come to see this as a common pattern for many woman as we are living in a world shaped by patriarchal expectations, that focus on productivity rather than our own needs and wellbeing.

In a moment of inner silence during that time, I kept hearing the words ‘divine mother’ over and over. I sat with it and felt the message clearly - the world is calling out for the mother. I listened to the guidance and shared my first divine mother ceremony in London March 2020 and it felt so aligned - like everything had led to that point. Within a few weeks the entire world went into the first lockdown and I conceived my daughter. It turned out that the ceremony was not just about me being a bridge for others to remember the divine mother, I was also being prepared to become a mother. Throughout pregnancy - and lockdowns - I continued to share this work to hundreds of people around the world in my online sessions, and it only affirmed just how deeply we were collectively yearning for more connection and nurturing for our younger selves.

Then I birthed my daughter into the world at the start of 2021 and I put everything else aside to focus solely on motherhood. A couple of months postpartum, I was sat in ceremony with my precious newborn Violet on my breast and I remember praying so deeply. As I let everything else fall away for a while, I knew there was something new that wanted to be born through me into the world, alongside birthing my baby. I knew my path was shifting and it was clear I am here to bring light to the Great Mother so I prayed and asked for her to allow me to be a vessel for her love, to bring her soothing medicine to our world which so desperately needs her. I asked her to purify me and my life from anything that is not of love and truth. I asked her to guide me towards teachers and elders who could show me the way to embody this path even more. (Life has not been the same since. My prayers came alive in both brutal and beautiful ways in the following years. I had to face a lot of trauma that had been buried and guide myself tenderly through my own death and rebirth, where so much had to change and transform around me - and I am so grateful for it all) Not long after that ceremony, Sarah Durham Wilson came into my field - a woman on a powerful mission to restore the lost feminine rites of passages. Finding her work felt like coming home because up to this point I could not find anyone else bringing it through and she put words to things I had not been able to articulate yet. This felt like divine alignment with the work I was already sharing with the divine mother so later that year I began a 12 month journey with her courses - eventually becoming a Rite of Passage Guide myself.

Now 4 years later, after allowing the teachings and personal shifts to land into my life, reshape me and prepare me, alongside being present with motherhood - I feel ready to be the vessel for this sacred work. My inner mother says, it is time. I know the mother doesn’t rush, she is patient, moving with her own grounded timing so I trust completely. I am currently in my rebirth era after experiencing death upon death. My feet are back on the Earth after journeying deep into the womb of the Great Mother. I feel anchored in my purpose. My inner mother has risen. This feels like it has been lifetimes in the making - mother work is something that my soul feels and knows so deeply - and it is a path which allows me to alchemise my pain into my divine purpose, whilst supporting others to do the same. This journey has been woven from the maiden to mother framework I learned in my teacher training with Sarah as the foundation but shared in my own style, plus other teachings, practices and inspiration from all my other courses and mentors over the last decade journeying with the womb, sound, energy healing - from all the incredible women I have had the honour of working with as I learn so much from you - from birthing and mothering my magical daughter and mothering my inner child along the way - and also my own rich, embodied experience of healing and spiritual growth in my life, which I know has prepared me to be an anchor for this work and a vessel for the spirit of the Great Mother. Thank you all. I am ready now and I am deeply grateful, honoured, moved and humbled to be able to guide anyone who is called through your own unique journey home. After sharing the first held in 2025 I know in every cell of my being how vital this work is and it excites me to feel another circle of women forming for our 2026 journey - I cannot wait to walk with you and witness you rising.
